Classification Of Conveyor Belts

Conveyor belts are rubber, fiber, metal composite products, or plastic and fabric composite products used for belt conveyors to carry and transport materials.

There are many kinds of conveyor belts, which are classified according to their uses: general conveyor belts, flame retardant and anti-static conveyor belts, general flame retardant conveyor belts, heat resistant conveyor belts, high temperature resistant conveyor belts, acid and alkali resistant conveyor belts, oil resistant conveyor belts, cold resistant conveyor belts, cold resistant conveyor belts, etc.

Classification by structural materials: ordinary cotton canvas conveyor belt, nylon conveyor belt, polyester conveyor belt, steel cord conveyor belt, PVC whole core conveyor belt, PVG whole core conveyor belt, steel cable conveyor belt, etc.

According to the product structure, it can be classified as: layered conveyor belt, whole core conveyor belt, steel cord conveyor belt, steel cable conveyor belt, tubular conveyor belt, patterned conveyor belt, rib conveyor belt, layer reducing conveyor belt, etc.

For convenience, we generally use * * * notation to represent various conveyor belts. Indication method of various conveyor belts:

1. Common representation methods of layered conveyor belt (standard representation methods are different, see GB7984 for details): NN200 1000 × 6 (6+3) as an example: NN200 represents nylon 200 type, 1000 represents bandwidth, 6 represents layers of nylon cloth, and (6+3) represents the upper and lower covering rubber of the conveyor belt are 6mm and 3mm thick respectively.

2. Common representation method of steel cord conveyor belt: ST1000 H 1000 Φ 4.0-6.0-6.0 for example: ST1000 stands for strength specification, 1000N/mm H stands for performance grade of coating adhesive, 1000 stands for width of product, unit: mm Φ 4.0 - indicates the diameter of steel wire rope, in mm 6.0-6.0 - indicates the thickness of upper and lower covering rubber, in mm

3. Expression method of whole core conveyor belt: PVC and PVG whole core flame-retardant conveyor belts for general coal mines are expressed according to strength grade and belt width.

The strength grade is generally divided into: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, * * * to 16. The corresponding strengths are 680S, 800S, 1000S, 1250S, 1400S, 1600S, 1800S, 200S, 2240S, 2500S, 2800S, 3100S and 3400S.

The width of conveyor belt is generally 500mm, 650mm, 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm, 1800mm, etc.
